Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a background in construction to oversee significant building projects in the Milton Keynes area. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing all facets of construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards. You will be instrumental in liaising with contractors, architects, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution from groundbreaking to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all building regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Oversee site operations, contractor performance, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams, providing regular progress reports.
• Risk management and proactive problem-solving to address unforeseen challenges on site.
• Finalize project close-out, including documentation, handover, and post-project reviews.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Experience with project management software and tools relevant to construction.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts and vendors.
