Senior Project Manager - Energy Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead critical energy infrastructure development projects in Sheffield . This role demands exceptional leadership skills to manage all phases of project lifecycles, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, working with a diverse range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale energy infrastructure projects , including renewable energy installations, transmission lines, and storage facilities.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these objectives.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Oversee risk management processes, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on the energy sector .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk assessment, and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with permitting, environmental regulations, and stakeholder engagement in the energy industry.
