Senior Project Manager - Energy Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead significant projects within their energy infrastructure division, based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role demands a proven track record in managing large-scale projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, playing a vital role in the development and enhancement of critical energy networks. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of complex energy infrastructure projects , ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Oversee procurement processes, contract management, and vendor performance for project deliverables.
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects adhere to all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards, particularly within the energy sector .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
• Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP certification highly desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million-pound budgets and complex project timelines.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience working with various project stakeholders, including government agencies and utility providers.
