About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects within the energy sector in Portsmouth . This role is central to overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex energy projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage cross-functional teams, engage with key stakeholders, and drive project success in a dynamic and evolving industry, benefiting from a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of multiple energy infrastructure projects, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee risk management activities, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
- Coordinate and collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project progress.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular project updates and reporting to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, specifically within the energy sector or large-scale infrastructure development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with hybrid working models and managing distributed teams is advantageous.
