About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead diverse projects for their organisation in Derby . This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented individual capable of managing complex engineering initiatives from conception through to successful implementation. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that all projects meet stringent technical specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and a thorough understanding of engineering principles and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and financial budgets.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on engineering projects.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and timelines for large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle management .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
