Senior Project Manager (Infrastructure)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in infrastructure projects to join their team in Southampton . You will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of significant infrastructure initiatives, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strategic mindset, robust leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure development lifecycles and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure projects , from feasibility studies to final commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and potential issues, implementing proactive solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management , with at least 5 years focused on large-scale infrastructure development.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects such as roads, utilities, or major civil engineering works.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is essential.
• Experience with contract administration and managing large multidisciplinary teams.
