Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects in the thriving business hub of Reading . This role is essential for overseeing the development and implementation of major infrastructure upgrades and new builds, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery. You will collaborate with engineering teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to achieve project success and enhance the organisation's operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects, from planning and design through to construction and handover in Reading .
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including internal staff and external contractors.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure project management .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., civil engineering, utilities, major construction).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing significant project budgets and complex contracts.
• Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
