About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a specialization in infrastructure projects to join their team in Reading . This critical role will involve leading the planning, execution, and delivery of major infrastructure development initiatives, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to navigate complex challenges and ensure project success. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of major infrastructure projects.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitoring progress and controlling costs.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations throughout all project activities.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies and community representatives, to ensure smooth project progression and public acceptance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects , such as transportation, utilities, or construction.
- Proven expertise in project management methodologies , risk management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of relevant engineering principles, construction techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within the Reading area.
- Proficiency in project management software and relevant technical tools.
