Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to join their established team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This role is crucial for delivering key infrastructure projects that will shape the future development of the region. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of these significant undertakings, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to final implementation and handover. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure meticulous adherence to project controls, and foster excellent working relationships with all project stakeholders, driving projects to successful completion with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed project plans, including risk assessments, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate activities of project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews to monitor project performance.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in project management , with a significant focus on infrastructure development.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets exceeding £10 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, contract management, and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
