About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with expertise in IT infrastructure to join their team in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, cloud migrations, and data center developments. This role requires a blend of technical understanding and strong project management capabilities to ensure seamless project execution and minimal disruption to business operations. You will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to achieve strategic infrastructure goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for IT infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Coordinate and manage internal IT teams, external vendors, and contractors involved in infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the implementation of new IT systems and the upgrade of existing infrastructure components.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring business continuity.
- Communicate project status, issues, and successes effectively to technical teams and senior management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management , with a specific focus on IT infrastructure projects .
- Proven experience managing projects related to networking, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), server environments, and data centers.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and Agile/Scrum methodologies .
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, cloud certifications) are a plus.
