Senior Project Manager - IT Systems

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT systems projects in a fully remote capacity, supporting their operations across the UK. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations. This role demands exceptional technical understanding, strategic planning, and the ability to effectively manage distributed teams. You will ensure projects align with business objectives and are delivered efficiently and effectively within a remote work paradigm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of complex IT systems projects , from initiation to deployment and post-implementation review.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams comprising IT professionals, vendors, and business stakeholders in a remote environment.
• Ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies, minimizing disruption to existing operations.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and project challenges, communicating solutions effectively.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards, providing regular updates to senior management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on IT infrastructure and systems deployment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale software implementation and systems integration projects.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are highly desirable.
