Senior Project Manager - IT

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong focus on IT to join their team in Reading . This critical role involves leading and managing complex technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in guiding project teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving the successful adoption of new technologies across the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, and milestones, ensuring critical path adherence and proactive issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and senior leadership.
• Oversee the procurement and management of third-party vendors and contractors involved in IT projects.
• Ensure all IT projects adhere to company standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in IT Project Management .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software development, infrastructure, or system integration projects.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and software development lifecycles.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or similar certification is highly desirable.
