Senior Project Manager - Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee key manufacturing projects in Sunderland . This role involves managing the lifecycle of complex manufacturing initiatives, from initial concept through to successful implementation and handover. You will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and quality improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource planning, and budget management for manufacturing projects.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams comprised of engineers, technicians, and operational staff.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring critical milestones are met and deliverables are achieved on schedule.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring business continuity and operational success.
• Ensure all projects adhere to the highest quality standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
