Senior Project Manager - Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a strong background in operational improvements and efficiency drives to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role is instrumental in leading projects focused on process optimization, supply chain enhancements, and operational excellence. You will work closely with departmental heads and operational teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. This is a critical role for driving strategic operational change within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex operational projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Analyze existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement and manage change initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Facilitate collaboration between operations, IT, finance, and other departments.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Project Management , with a significant focus on Operations Management or process improvement projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects that have resulted in significant operational improvements.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
