Senior Project Manager - Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical operational projects within their organization based in Reading . You will be responsible for driving efficiency improvements, implementing new operational strategies, and managing complex projects that impact various facets of the business. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, adept at leading teams and delivering tangible results in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key operational projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for operational improvements.
• Manage risks, issues, and changes within projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams, supply chain, and other departments to achieve project goals.
• Monitor project progress, implement performance metrics, and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practice implementation across operational functions.

Requirements

• Substantial experience (7+ years) in project management , with a significant focus on operational or supply chain projects.
• Proven expertise in various project management methodologies , including Lean and Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• A master's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with process optimization and implementing large-scale operational changes.
