Role: Senior Property Manager
Location: Brighton, East Sussex (4 days office-based) with one day per week at their rural East Sussex site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Senior Property Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a growing business based in Brighton.
This is a varied role combining strategic portfolio management with hands-on estate management. You'll oversee a diverse residential and commercial property portfolio, manage external property agents and contractors, and ensure a number of high-value commercial sites are maintained to the highest standards.

The Requirements
- Previous experience within estates management, property management or portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property management
- Understanding of ASTs, HMOs, leasehold and commercial property legislation
- Experience managing external managing agents and contractors
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong financial and budget management experience
- Good understanding of health and safety, fire and property compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a varied property portfolio
The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day management of an in-house property portfolio
- Manage relationships with third-party property management companies across a large residential and commercial portfolio
- Monitor property performance, maintenance programmes and outstanding actions
- Oversee the management and maintenance of high-value commercial and operational sites
- Coordinate contractors and ensure works are completed to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, fire and environmental legislation
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and compliance reviews
- Develop preventative maintenance programmes across the portfolio
- Monitor budgets, capital expenditure and operating costs
- Produce monthly and annual property performance reports
- Identify opportunities to improve the value and performance of the portfolio
- Support the operational requirements of commercial sites and facilities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and oversee annual portfolio inspections
