About the Role

Our client, a reputable firm of chartered surveyors, is seeking an experienced Senior Property Valuer to lead their valuation services in Brighton . This high-profile role requires an individual with extensive knowledge of the property market and a proven ability to conduct complex valuations for a variety of purposes, including mortgage lending, probate, and commercial acquisitions. You will be responsible for managing a team of valuers, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism in all reports and advice provided to clients across East Sussex . This is a leadership position offering significant autonomy and the chance to shape the valuation strategy for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-value and complex property valuations for a diverse range of property types.
• Lead and mentor a team of property valuers, overseeing their workload and development.
• Ensure all valuation reports meet regulatory requirements and company standards for accuracy and detail.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including financial institutions and corporate bodies.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities within the Brighton property market.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) with extensive valuation experience.
• Demonstrable experience in valuing commercial and high-end residential properties.
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, property law, and market dynamics in East Sussex .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload and deliver high-quality reports under pressure in Brighton .
