About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly proficient Senior Python Developer to join their innovative technology team in Reading . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust backend services and applications that drive key business functions. This role requires a deep understanding of Python ecosystems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative, agile environment. You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and play a vital role in enhancing the performance and scalability of our client's software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality backend services and applications using Python and relevant frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Design and implement efficient, reusable, and testable code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Python development .
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM libraries.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous for this role in Reading .
