Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the highest quality of their software products. This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies, scripting languages, and a passion for building robust, efficient automated test suites. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, collaborating with developers and testers to identify and resolve defects early, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within their agile development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Write and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the team's overall testing expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright).
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with API testing and performance testing is a plus.
