About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Sheffield . This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of their software products. You will work closely with development and product teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, driving efficiency and improving product robustness. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a high-quality product delivery process and work within a collaborative, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using various testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and feedback.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for new features and releases.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, advocating for best practices in test automation.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance on automation techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance , with a strong focus on test automation .
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for scripting automated tests.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail, ideal for a hybrid role.
