About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to enhance their quality assurance efforts in Sheffield . You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. This role involves working closely with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, identify bugs early, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and/or mobile applications.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects clearly and concisely.
- Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and feedback.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and define test strategies.
- Identify areas for test automation and drive improvements in testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain and update test environments and test data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Understanding of API testing and experience with tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in fast-paced development environments.
