About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and driven Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will play a key role in advocating for quality best practices and collaborating with development teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and define test strategies.
• Identify opportunities for improving test coverage and efficiency through automation.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring quality is considered at every stage.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
• Strong expertise in developing automated test scripts using relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver or Cypress.
• Experience with API testing tools and automation (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
