Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Edinburgh . You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, ensuring the highest quality of our software products. This role involves designing test strategies, writing automated test scripts, and collaborating closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Create and maintain robust, scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identify, document, and track software defects rigorously.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and suggest improvements to testing processes.
• Stay current with QA automation best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for test automation.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and bug tracking systems.
