About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation to join their quality assurance team in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of software releases. This role involves designing, writing, and maintaining automated test scripts, analyzing test results, and collaborating closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for quality, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to improving testing processes, contributing to a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various automation frameworks and tools.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with clear, detailed information.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and efficiency through automation.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing as needed.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a significant focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for test scripting.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and test case design.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
