Senior QA Engineer - Automation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead their quality assurance efforts in Sheffield . You will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of software releases. This role requires a deep understanding of test automation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. You will work closely with development teams to integrate quality assurance into the entire software development lifecycle, driving efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Implement comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a quality-first culture within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance engineering.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python , Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
