Senior QA Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior QA Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Portsmouth . This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating test cases, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve them. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
• Design and implement automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand new features and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Perform regression testing, performance testing, and security testing as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
