About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Control Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing our client's stringent quality standards across all production lines. This role requires a meticulous approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of quality management systems in a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams, predominantly through digital channels, to ensure product integrity from raw materials to finished goods, playing a crucial part in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct rigorous inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to address deviations and prevent recurrence.
- Lead and participate in internal audits and support external quality audits.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior quality control staff on best practices and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SPC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
