About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join their remote team, contributing to their manufacturing operations with a focus on Derby . This role is paramount in ensuring the integrity and reliability of their products through advanced quality systems and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality processes, driving continuous improvement, and leading quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background, deep expertise in quality engineering methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a virtual setting .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to meet international standards.
- Lead and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product designs and manufacturing processes meet quality requirements.
- Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) strategies to monitor and improve manufacturing consistency.
- Mentor junior quality personnel and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization in a remote capacity .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience as a Quality Engineer , with a strong background in manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 , AS9100, or other relevant quality standards.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, root cause analysis techniques, and CAPA methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a remote team environment.
