About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their investment strategy team in Oxford . This role is critical for developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative models that drive investment decisions and risk management strategies. You will work with large datasets, build complex algorithms, and collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to enhance investment performance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mathematical background, advanced programming skills, and a passion for applying quantitative techniques to financial markets, working in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement quantitative trading strategies and models.
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of market data to identify trading opportunities and risks.
- Build and maintain databases and data infrastructure for financial modeling.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to refine investment strategies and portfolio construction.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of quantitative strategies and make necessary adjustments.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or algorithmic trading.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or R, with experience in relevant libraries.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with financial markets and derivatives is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
