About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their sophisticated trading and risk management team in Cambridge . This role is central to developing and implementing advanced mathematical models for pricing, risk management, and algorithmic trading strategies. You will work with large, complex datasets, applying cutting-edge statistical and computational techniques to solve challenging financial problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline, exceptional programming skills, and a proven ability to translate complex models into practical applications within a high-frequency trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, back-test, and implement quantitative models for pricing financial derivatives and managing risk.
• Design and optimize algorithmic trading strategies using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Analyze large datasets to identify market patterns and trading opportunities.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk officers to refine models and strategies.
• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of quantitative models and trading systems.
• Contribute to the research and development of new quantitative methodologies.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) as a Quantitative Analyst in a financial institution.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning.
• Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python , C++, or R.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
