About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their innovative team in Stoke-on-Trent , specializing in the banking and finance sector. This role involves developing and implementing complex financial models, performing sophisticated data analysis, and providing quantitative insights to support trading strategies and risk management. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and IT professionals to create and enhance quantitative tools and systems that drive competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and trading strategies.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and opportunities in financial markets.
- Collaborate with software developers to translate quantitative models into production-ready systems.
- Perform back-testing and validation of trading algorithms and pricing models.
- Monitor model performance and update models as market conditions evolve.
- Communicate complex quantitative concepts and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis within investment banking, hedge funds, or asset management .
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C++, or R, with experience in numerical analysis libraries.
- Deep understanding of stochastic calculus, probability theory, and financial econometrics.
- Experience with financial market data and trading systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
