About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-frequency and quantitative trading strategies.
• Monitor and manage trading performance, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to refine and enhance existing trading algorithms.
• Analyze market data and execute trades to optimize portfolio returns and manage risk.
• Conduct post-trade analysis and reporting to assess strategy effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay current with market microstructure, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting trading.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in quantitative trading, algorithmic development, or HFT strategy design.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java, with a strong emphasis on performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and trading infrastructure.
• Proven track record of profitability and successful strategy implementation in a live trading environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, suitable for a hybrid working model in Edinburgh .
