Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civils / RC Frames / Structural Steel

Location: Vauxhall, London Rate: £500 – £600 per day DOE Job Type: Contract Duration: Long-term

We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a long-term project based in Vauxhall, London.

The role will focus heavily on the commercial management of civils, reinforced concrete (RC) frame and structural steel packages, requiring someone who can take ownership of substantial subcontract packages and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of civils, RC frame and structural steel packages

• Managing subcontractors from procurement through to final account

• Reviewing and negotiating subcontract agreements

• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and CVRs

• Managing variations and change control

• Assessment of subcontractor applications

• Cost management and monitoring against project budgets

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

• Maintaining contractual correspondence and commercial records

• Working closely with the site, project and commercial management teams

• Negotiating subcontractor accounts and agreeing final accounts

• Ensuring packages remain commercially controlled and accurately reported

Requirements

• Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor experience

• Strong background within civils, RC frames and/or structural steel

• Experience commercially managing large subcontract packages

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes

• Experienced with procurement, valuations, variations, forecasting, CVRs and final accounts

• Commercially confident and capable of working independently

• Comfortable working within a fast-paced major construction project

• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification preferred

Rate: £500 – £600 per day DOE

This is a long-term contract opportunity in Vauxhall and would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong structural and civils package experience looking for their next major project
