Senior Quantity Surveyor – Planned Maintenance – Tier 1 Main Contractor – Dagenham with Flexibility

Salary/Package: £450 per day initially, moving to a permanent salary of up to £95,000 + Package

O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, overseeing planned maintenance works across London.

The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for planned maintenance works, working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure the successful financial and commercial delivery of the programme.

The position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, initially paying £450 per day, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position offering a salary of up to £95,000 + package.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an immediate start, with the potential to secure a long-term position within an established and growing business.

The role will be primarily based from the company's offices in Dagenham, with the flexibility to work from home one to two days per week once established within the business.

Responsibilities

Taking commercial responsibility for planned maintenance works and associated programmes Managing the commercial performance of projects from inception through to completion Procuring and commercially managing subcontract packages Preparing subcontract enquiries, analysing tenders, negotiating and making recommendations for award Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, variations and final accounts Monitoring project costs, forecasting expenditure and maintaining accurate commercial reporting Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate cost control measures Working closely with project managers, operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful project delivery Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, clients and other key stakeholders Supporting the wider commercial team and contributing to the continued success of the business

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting or similar commercial environment Previous experience working on planned maintenance, repairs, refurbishment or housing maintenance programmes would be advantageous Strong commercial experience with the ability to manage costs, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to take ownership of commercial responsibilities and work autonomously Experience working collaboratively with operational teams, clients and subcontractors Comfortable working predominantly from Dagenham, with some flexibility to work from home once established Available to start at short notice If you're a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an immediate opportunity with the potential to move into a permanent position paying up to £95,000 + package, please contact Ned Scott-Mends on (phone number removed), or send your CV via email at .
