Our client is a well-established and growing specialist construction group with over 30 years of experience delivering high-profile projects across the UK. Operating across the commercial, public and residential sectors, the business provides specialist expertise in areas including interiors, design and construction, refurbishment and compliance.
With an established Manchester presence and a strong pipeline of projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on projects between £5m - £25m.
Take responsibility for the commercial management of construction and specialist fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Manage project costs, budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
Prepare and review subcontract packages, procurement documentation and commercial agreements.
Work closely with operational and project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to contractual requirements.
Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and commercial negotiations.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for senior management.
Support the commercial leadership team and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Requirements
Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, fit-out, drylining, interiors or specialist subcontracting.
Strong commercial experience managing projects from tender through to final account.
Experience with subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and cost reporting.
Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative commercial and project team.
