Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: Competitive salary + excellent benefits Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Ready for your next move? Are you a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or an experienced Quantity Surveyor close to achieving chartership? We are working with an established and highly regarded construction and property consultancy that is looking to strengthen its Newcastle team with an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who wants to develop their career, work on high-quality projects and take on genuine responsibility. The Opportunity You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, providing professional quantity surveying and cost management advice to a range of clients. Your responsibilities will include: * Providing full quantity surveying and cost management services. * Preparing cost plans, estimates, budgets and tender documentation. * Managing procurement and tender processes. * Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts. * Undertaking valuations and managing variations and change control. * Supporting contract administration and final accounts. * Providing commercial advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle. * Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams. * Taking an active role in developing client relationships and winning new work. * Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team as your experience develops. What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who are looking for their next challenge and have: * MRICS qualification, or are close to achieving chartership. * Strong quantity surveying and cost management experience. * Experience within a consultancy, contractor or client-side environment. * Good knowledge of procurement, contracts, cost planning and reporting. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * A commercially focused and proactive approach. * The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a wider team. * A genuine ambition to progress your career.
