Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + Package
Sector: Social Housing / Refurbishment

A leading UK construction and housing contractor is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a well-established business, working on a range of social housing, refurbishment and regeneration projects across Nottingham and the surrounding area.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of an established commercial team, supporting the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the commercial aspects of refurbishment and social housing projects.
* Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager.
* Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.
* Preparing cost reports, forecasts and financial statements.
* Monitoring project costs and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
* Managing variations, change control and contractual matters.
* Assisting with monthly applications, valuations and final accounts.
* Working closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and consultants.
* Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with commercial objectives.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
* Experience across social housing, refurbishment, maintenance, residential or similar sectors.
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
* Experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
* Good communication and negotiation skills.
* A relevant Quantity Surveying / Construction qualification is desirable.
* The ambition to progress within a growing commercial team.
