Senior Recruitment Consultant - Engineering

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic Recruitment Consultancy located in Derby , is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to spearhead their engineering recruitment services. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with engineering firms across Derbyshire and beyond, sourcing top engineering talent, and managing the entire recruitment process. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of engineering clients, understanding their specific technical and project needs.
• Source, vet, and interview skilled engineering professionals, including mechanical, civil, electrical, and software engineers.
• Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract niche engineering talent.
• Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial client engagement to offer negotiation and placement.
• Provide market intelligence and consultative advice to clients on talent acquisition strategies.
• Mentor and coach junior recruitment consultants within the engineering division.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Recruitment Consultant, with a strong specialization in engineering recruitment.
• Demonstrated success in business development and managing key client accounts.
• Deep understanding of various engineering disciplines and the associated skill sets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid model, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the Derby and wider Midlands engineering market is highly desirable.
