About the Role

Our client, a prominent recruitment consultancy in Plymouth, Devon, UK , is seeking a highly motivated Senior Recruitment Consultant to focus on the engineering sector. You will be instrumental in identifying and attracting skilled engineering professionals for a variety of clients, from local enterprises to larger corporations. This role requires a deep understanding of the engineering job market and the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and candidates. You will be a key player in driving success for the engineering division in our Plymouth office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineering roles, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and software engineering positions.
• Source, screen, and interview highly qualified engineering candidates.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
• Utilize advanced sourcing strategies to build a robust talent pipeline for in-demand engineering specialisms.
• Negotiate offers and facilitate the successful placement of candidates.
• Provide market insights and consultative advice to clients regarding engineering talent acquisition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, with a specialization or strong interest in engineering recruitment.
• Demonstrated ability to source and place candidates for technical and engineering roles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment projects concurrently.
• Familiarity with engineering-specific terminology and qualifications is a plus.
