About the Role

Our client, a leading recruitment consultancy operating across the South of England from their Southampton office, is seeking a results-driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead their highly successful Engineering division. This is a key role focused on expanding their market share within the engineering and manufacturing sectors. You will be responsible for client relationship management, strategic business development, and guiding a team of consultants to achieve excellence in placing top-tier engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development activities to secure new and expand existing engineering recruitment contracts.
• Manage and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their technical recruitment needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Oversee the sourcing, vetting, and placement of engineering professionals, from graduates to senior chartered engineers.
• Mentor and support junior consultants within the engineering team, fostering best practices and professional growth.
• Analyze industry trends and competitor performance to maintain a strategic advantage in the engineering recruitment market.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in recruitment consultancy , with a proven specialization in the engineering or technical sectors.
• Strong track record in business development and achieving demanding sales targets within a competitive market.
• Excellent understanding of various engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical) and their respective talent requirements.
• Effective leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
