Senior Recruitment Consultant - Public Sector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to spearhead their Public Sector recruitment efforts from their Edinburgh office. This role demands a deep understanding of the unique recruitment landscape within public bodies, charities, and non-profit organizations across Scotland . You will be responsible for building and managing key client relationships, identifying critical talent needs, and delivering high-calibre candidates who align with public service values. Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for public sector roles, from administrative support to senior management positions.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders within government agencies and public bodies.
• Source and attract candidates with the necessary skills, experience, and understanding of public sector requirements.
• Conduct thorough vetting and assessment of candidates to ensure suitability for public sector environments.
• Negotiate terms of engagement and manage the entire onboarding process.
• Stay informed about policy changes, funding, and recruitment challenges within the public sector.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in recruitment consultancy, with a proven track record in the public sector or non-profit recruitment.
• Demonstrated understanding of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and candidates in sensitive environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload in Scotland .
