Our client, a leading global financial services provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting operations including those in Norwich . This pivotal role involves monitoring and interpreting evolving financial regulations, ensuring the company's compliance across all jurisdictions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing regulatory strategies, liaising with regulatory bodies, and providing expert guidance to internal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret new and upcoming financial regulations and policy changes globally.
- Develop and implement robust compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports accurately and on time.
- Liaise directly with regulatory authorities, responding to inquiries and managing regulatory examinations.
- Provide expert regulatory advice and training to internal business units and senior management.
- Conduct impact assessments of regulatory changes on business operations and systems.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to maintain a comprehensive regulatory framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACAMS, CCEP) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of key financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR, AML, KYC).
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects in a remote setting.
