About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Remote Industrial Engineer with a specialization in supply chain optimization to join their globally distributed team. This critical role will focus on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our client's international supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics networks, identifying areas for improvement, and designing innovative solutions that drive significant operational gains. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in a remote setting, possesses deep expertise in supply chain dynamics, and is adept at leading transformational projects virtually.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of optimized supply chain strategies, including network design, inventory management, and transportation logistics, to achieve global efficiency targets.
- Analyze vast datasets related to logistics, demand forecasting, and supplier performance to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and deploy advanced modeling and simulation techniques to evaluate the impact of potential supply chain changes and investments.
- Collaborate virtually with international teams, including procurement, manufacturing, distribution, and sales, to ensure seamless integration and execution of supply chain initiatives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks to monitor the health and performance of the global supply chain, driving continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and analysts, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation and operational excellence in supply chain management .
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a significant focus on global supply chain design and optimization.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and advanced analytical techniques applied to supply chain challenges.
- Proven experience with supply chain planning software, ERP systems, and sophisticated data analysis and visualization tools.
- Exceptional remote leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders across diverse cultures and geographies.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to address complex global operational issues.
