About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate to join their expanding Immunology team based in Edinburgh . This role focuses on employing cutting-edge techniques to unravel complex immunological mechanisms relevant to disease pathogenesis and therapeutic intervention. You will be integral in designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the advancement of novel immunotherapies. Working within a collaborative R&D environment, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to groundbreaking research in a hybrid setting, leveraging both in-lab and remote capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, perform, and analyze experiments investigating immune cell function and signaling pathways.
- Develop and optimize various immunological assays, including flow cytometry, ELISpot, and cytokine profiling.
- Characterize immune responses in preclinical models of disease.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and present findings at team meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including discovery biology and pharmacology, within the Edinburgh research hub.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Immunology, Biology, or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an immunology research setting, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Hands-on experience with a broad range of immunological techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis software.
- Excellent organizational abilities and communication skills, crucial for hybrid work effectiveness in Edinburgh .
