Senior Research Chemist - Analytical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Chemist with a focus on Analytical Chemistry to join their dynamic research team, which operates on a remote-first basis from Sunderland . You will be instrumental in developing and validating advanced analytical methods to support new product development and ensure quality control. This role requires a deep understanding of various analytical techniques and the ability to interpret complex data to provide critical insights. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for the characterization of complex chemical samples.
• Utilize a range of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and spectroscopy.
• Perform impurity profiling, stability studies, and quantitative analysis of raw materials and finished products.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, ensuring reliable and accurate results.
• Interpret analytical data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to research and development teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of analytical instruments and software.
• Strong understanding of chemical principles and analytical techniques.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
