About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel small molecules, probes, and chemical tools to investigate biological pathways and validate drug targets.
• Develop and apply cutting-edge chemical biology methodologies, including bioconjugation, fragment-based drug discovery, and target identification techniques.
• Conduct in vitro and cellular assays to evaluate the biological activity and specificity of synthesized compounds.
• Analyze and interpret complex chemical and biological data, troubleshooting experiments as needed.
• Collaborate with synthetic chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to drive research projects forward.
• Author high-quality scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at international conferences.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemical Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral research experience focusing on chemical biology applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and a strong understanding of biological systems.
• Proficiency in a range of biochemical and cell-based assay techniques.
• Experience with modern analytical techniques for compound characterization (e.g., NMR, Mass Spectrometry).
• Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills, with a proven publication record.
