About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Research Fellow to join their esteemed genomics research group in Cambridge . This position is central to driving forward novel research in genomics, focusing on the application of cutting-edge technologies to understand disease mechanisms and identify new therapeutic targets. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex research projects, analyzing large-scale genomic datasets, and contributing to high-impact publications. Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead research projects focused on the analysis of human genomics data.
- Apply advanced computational and statistical methods to interpret genomic variations and their functional impact.
- Develop and implement novel genomic analysis pipelines.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists and clinicians to translate findings into biological insights.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the overall scientific strategy of the group.

Requirements
- PhD in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in genomics research.
- Strong expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and associated computational tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and experience with bioinformatics software.
- Solid understanding of statistical genetics and population genetics principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
