Senior Research Fellow - Genomics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow with expertise in Genomics to join their pioneering research team. This position is fully remote, enabling top scientific talent to contribute regardless of their geographical location. You will play a key role in designing and executing complex genomic research projects, analyzing large datasets, and contributing to significant scientific publications. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage independent research projects focused on human genomics, disease genetics, or population genetics.
• Design and implement experimental protocols for various genomic assays, including WGS, WES, and targeted sequencing.
• Perform rigorous bioinformatics analysis of genomic data, employing advanced statistical and computational methods.
• Interpret research findings, contribute to manuscript preparation, and present results at scientific conferences.
• Collaborate with internal and external researchers to foster new research directions and partnerships.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in genomics, bioinformatics tools, and relevant biological fields.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral research experience in genomics.
• Demonstrated expertise in genomic data analysis, including variant calling, genotype-phenotype correlation, and population genetics.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and experience with relevant bioinformatics software and databases.
• Experience with high-throughput sequencing technologies and experimental design.
• Excellent scientific communication skills, essential for thriving in a remote research environment.
