Senior Research Fellow - Immunology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow to join their leading Immunology research group, operating remotely with a hub in Glasgow . This senior position will focus on advancing our understanding of immune responses in various disease contexts and developing novel immunotherapeutic strategies. You will lead independent research projects, mentor junior scientists, and contribute significantly to the scientific direction of the department. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct innovative research projects in cellular and molecular immunology.
• Design and execute complex in vitro and ex vivo assays, including flow cytometry, cytokine analysis, and functional immune cell assays.
• Develop and validate new experimental models and methodologies relevant to immune function.
• Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, drawing conclusions and planning next steps.
• Author manuscripts for publication in high-impact scientific journals and present at international meetings.
• Supervise and mentor postdoctoral fellows and research assistants.

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-doctoral research experience with a strong publication record in immunology .
• Expertise in T cell biology, B cell biology, cytokine signaling, or immune system regulation.
• Proficiency in flow cytometry, ELISpot, intracellular cytokine staining, and other functional immunology assays.
• Experience with animal models of disease is desirable.
• Exceptional scientific leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
