Senior Research Fellow - Immunology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow with a specialization in Immunology to join their dedicated research and development team in Reading . This critical role will involve investigating the complexities of the immune system to uncover novel therapeutic targets and mechanisms of disease. You will be responsible for designing and conducting complex experiments, analyzing results, and contributing to the scientific direction of the group. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in immunology and a passion for scientific exploration, working within a collaborative and innovative research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret complex experiments related to cellular and molecular immunology.
• Investigate immune cell function, cytokine signaling, and host-pathogen interactions.
• Utilize a range of immunological techniques including flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, and cell-based assays.
• Contribute to the development of new research hypotheses and project strategies.
• Analyze and present research findings in a clear and concise manner, both internally and at scientific conferences.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of scientists in Reading .

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry research experience in immunology.
• Extensive hands-on experience with key immunology techniques and assays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong publication record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects concurrently.
